Polish Poster School: An Eye on Film
The Polish School of Poster Art is internationally recognized as one of the influential forces in 20th century graphic art. This presentation, by visiting Professor Jarek Bujny from the University of Warmia and Mazury, will show and provide background for the works of this School’s most important designers. There will be particular emphasis on movie posters in the context of the films for which they were created, the means of expression used in their design, including visual metaphors. Professor Bujny is visiting as part of a week of celebrating Polish film with the Ann Arbor Polish Film Festival.
