33rd AAPFF Poster Unveiled!

Our 2026 Festival Poster is the result of a collaboration with the Institute of Fine Arts at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland. We partnered with Professor Jarosław Bujny and challenged his students to a design contest.  Earlier this year, our Poster Jury made their selection, featured below! View the original entry, honorable mentions and juror comments here.

Our 2026 Artist is Amelia Stefania Malinowska, a student of Graphic Design at UWM in Olsztyn.  Amelia shared with us this short bio: For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt the need to create, so I simply try to satisfy it in various ways. I draw, take photos, invent new stories, and write. I’ve even managed to publish two books—a collection of poetry, “Utano Cię z fale i światło” (Woven from Waves and Lights), and a collection of children’s stories, „Co się czuje, gdy się czuje?” (What Does it Feel Like, When You Feel?). I can’t sit still for long, so I’m constantly taking on new projects, moving forward, and discovering new things. For the past two years, I’ve been studying two majors simultaneously—I just graduated with a degree in Polish Philology, and I still have a year of Visual Arts ahead of me. My special love is also volunteering, especially scouting, where I lead my Scout troop and strive to become a better person.

Juror comments included, “An attractive design that attracts attention with its simplicity; it intrigues and encourages you to stop and think about the symbolism presented; the expressive yet simple color scheme makes an impression.”

And what is that symbolism? (Click to reveal hints):
